Welcome to the site of Tikkun Olam. We like to tell you what we do and why we do it.
The foundation aims to bring restoration to the original order God made in creation. Not only restoration for mankind but also for creation as a whole. We believe that we have been entrusted to a God given mandate as described in Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them and God said to them: be fertile and increase, fill the earth and master it, rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and all the living things that creep on earth.
Our method of work is quite easy and sums up to three important stages:
- In everything we attempt to do is the Son of God, Jesus Christ the focus of our passion, intent and will. In short, everything evolves around Him and is subdued to Him. Colossians 1:15-23
- We stretch ourselves out to the manifestation of Jesus Christ in our own lives. That is how we experience the Kingdom of God in all her fullness in ourselves. 1 John 3:1-2
- The manifestation of Jesus Christ in our own lives eventually leads to the manifestation of the sonship in and through us. It is the revealing of the Sons of God creation is eagerly waiting for. Romans 8:18-23
The activities of Tikkun Olam are focussed on applying restoration of the world as it described in the Bible. This sounds very big and it is really. But we believe that even small progress can have an enormous impact.
That is why we focus on helping people themselves to restoration. We do this by giving trainings, education and webinars, organising conferences and travels. When the trainees have experienced themselves that the one living them is bigger than the one living in the world, they themselves will be able to shape restoration in all layers of society.
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater the he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4
We believe that the church of Jesus Christ on this earth has the task to subdue all God’s enemies as a footstool under His feet. When that has happened, restoration of creation can become a fact and that the King of Creation can come to take up His dominion. This restoration is what is called in Hebrew Tikkun Olam.
